Being sponsored directly by a dental practice means that your Australian work visa will be tied to that practice. If you ever wanted to leave the practice you would have to get a new visa, a new sponsor or leave the country.
You could spend a lot of time in applications and travel a long way to get to a job that you don't like and then find it very difficult to leave.

For your registration you will also need:

• Referees names and contact (phone, fax and email) details and written references of 3 clinical and 2 personal referees.
• Indication of preferred duration of stay in Australia (from 4 months to 4 years).
• The full names and dates of birth of any spouse (including defacto spouse) and dependents who will be accompanying you.
• Fee payable to DIMIA.

Then DJS will:

• Conduct a referee check.
• If the referee check is satisfactory DJS will offer you an employment agreement which outlines in detail our commitment to you and your commitment to us.
• Upon receipt of your signed employment contract we apply to DIMIA to sponsor you and find you an appropriate position in your desired location. DJS provides access to private practice and government clinics across Australia.
