About the position

Situated in the picturesque Blue Mountains, this modern and caring Momentum managed practice has a Part Time position available to work Saturdays. A permanent dentist is required to commence ASAP. Applicants must have exceptional communication skills and be able to work unsupervised in a fast paced surgery with a part time hygienist and a visiting OMF surgeon. The practice works on the principles of excellence, enthusiasm and efficiency in their service provision to the Lithgow community and the creation of an emphathic environment for their patients. The positions offer a nurturing, supportive environment with dedicated, hard working staff. The surgery has modern equipment, Sirona chairs, including one which can be changed to a left- handed unit, as well as nitrous oxide. Remuneration is 40% of collections less lab fees. An optional view to future purchase also exists for the right person. Assistance with finding accommodation may be possible.

The surgery is fully computerised, has 2 treatment rooms with modern equipment, New Sirona chairs, including one which can be changed to a left-handed unit, as well as nitrous oxide. The practice has a part time Hygienist and a visiting OMF surgeon.

About the area

Lithgow is a friendly community situated in New South Wales, and is the centre of the local political division, City of Lithgow. It is located in a mountain valley named Lithgow's Valley. Lithgow is surrounded by a varied landscape which includes national parks, one of which, the Blue Mountains National Park, is a World Heritage Area. The Wollemi National Park is home to the Jurassic-age tree the Wollemi Pine, which was found growing in a remote canyon in the park. Places to visit include the Zig Zag Railway, Glow Worm Tunnel, Secret Creek Sanctuary, Newnes in the Wolgan Valley and Glen Davis in the Capertee Valley, the second largest canyon in the world.

Other places include the Hartley Historic Site, Small Arms Factory Museum, State Mine Heritage Park and the Eskbank House Museum. Lithgow is also close to the Jenolan Caves, which are a World Heritage Area and lie to the south of Lithgow.
